Assasin's Creed 4 "Unity" Release Date & Leaked Images for PC, PS4, Xbox One: Fifth Game "Comet" Will Be On Xbox 360, PS3
The fifth installment of the popular game Assassin's Creed, which is slated for release in the fall of this year, will be set in 18th century Paris. Leaked images from an unnamed source showed the game's assassin in front of a background of some famous Paris landmarks such as the Seine river and the Notre Dame Cathedral.
The game's brilliant creator Jade Raymond had earlier hinted that Assassin's Creed 5, dubbed as Unity, would not be set in Japan, but in one of her favorite historical places. Immediately, there were rumors that the game would be set in Russia or London. That was, of course, until the photos were leaked. Later the rumors were confirmed after they were found to be from someone with inside access to the project.
The new game will be set during the French Revolution with a new assassin who goes by the name Arno. Additionally, the new games will feature a four-player co-op instead of the usual multiplayer mode.
Unity is said to be one of two Assassin's Creed versions that will be released in 2014. A newer version, tentatively dubbed "Comet," is also said to be in the works. Unity is best played on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, while Comet is for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. There is no word yet on whether or not the games will be compatible with Wii U. However, one or both of these versions will work well on a PC.
Assassin's Creed was first released in 2009 and has had a version come out yearly since then. The game focuses on assassination plots, multiplayer themes and vivid graphics. It's a historical fiction adventure game developed and franchised by Ubisoft Montreal for single player. Its multiplayer counterpart is handled by Ubisoft Annecy
