'Jackass' Star Steve-O Under Investigation for Deadly Misconduct [WATCH]
After making news headlines for doing an extremely dangerous jump off a bridge in San Antonio last week, Steve-O now is facing the consequences for his latest stunt.
On last Friday (March 14), the "Jackass" star fearlessly climbed onto the railings of the Commerce Street Bridge, and then did a back flip into the four-foot deep river below. He was in town to do some shows at the River Center Comedy Club.
The 39-year-old daredevil then shared a photo of the stunt on his Facebook page, and claimed that he had done a service by doing the jump. "I did a good deed today by proving it's not safe to jump off this bridge at the San Antonio River Walk," he wrote. "It's shallow -- I hit the bottom when I landed this gainer flip. #notagoodidea."
"This was yesterday in San Antonio... And that water is way shallow, I don't recommend doing this -- I hit the bottom," the stunt performer also tweeted the video clip.
Steve-O is reportedly pending charges of deadly misconduct -- a misdemeanor, which is punishable by a maximum of a $4,000 fine and one year in jail. In addition to that, the comedian is facing up to a $500 fine for swimming in the river, which is unlawful according to the Unified Development Code.
The TV personality complained about the lack of signs posted on the bridge indicating how shallow the water is, disregarding his treacherous actions: "They've given no indication that people shouldn't jump, and done nothing to warn anyone about the serious dangers of that shallow water. Very irresponsible, indeed."
