Healthy Relationships California launched a new Spanish-language website aimed for Hispanics in relationship.

Touted as the nation's largest Relationship and Marriage Education (RME) organization, Health Relationships California's creation of MejoraTusRelaciones.com came as 50 percent of its nearly 30,000 participants of their RME classes are Spanish speakers.

"We know that Hispanics love our Relationship classes, so we're being proactive about meeting the need to provide Spanish-language RME material, and we're excited about these attractive and valuable new resources for Hispanics," said Healthy Relationships California's Communications and Marketing Director K. Jason Krafsky.

Bilingual RME facilitator Lucinda Loveland, a media relations specialist, stated translating the content from their English-language website might not be the best approach to reach to the Hispanic community.

"So we have created new content in which Latino RME leaders from across the state share their perspectives on the importance of RME," added Loveland.

MejoraTusRelaciones.com, Spanish for "improve your relationships," offers visitors an interactive and visual website. With the Spanish-language website, users can find and locate the nearest RME classes in their area. In addition, visitors can browse through the video-based "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) section and see testimonials from participants of how RME skills impacted their lives. Literary works are also available in Spanish via the website.

When finding RME classes on MejoraTusRelaciones.com, visitors can select specific types of categories such as if they're young, single, couples, married with or without children, or recovering from a relationship, to name a few. Visitors can also select if they prefer English or Spanish-based classes. The RME classes, however, are based California.

"The reception among our participants is very positive," added Ms. Loveland. "Prior to this, they had to rely on word-of-mouth to encourage their family and friends to join them in learning about RME. Now, they can also refer their loved ones to a website designed especially for them, which helps explain more fully why these Relationship and Marriage Education programs are so valuable for people's lives."
