'Scandal' and 'House of Cards' Are More Exciting Than The White House, President Obama Says [WATCH]
So after Ellen Degeneres and President Obama went on and on about Obama Care, they finally got to the good stuff! The 44th president of the Untied States of America revealed on The Ellen Show that he watches House of Cards and also plans to get into Scandal. The 21st century also allows for our president to declare war on Ellen for beating his number of retweets on Twitter. Oh, how the times have changed since George Washington.
Obama admits that the White House is not as eventful as it seems on House of Cards and Scandal. He says that he has not yet watched Scandal but that "Michelle does", and that the big house is much more boring than that. The president shares that his day consists of much more sitting and listening to men in gray suites than the shows display.
Well, we know that our favorite shows need some fictional drama in order to keep our one-minute attention span from changing the channel, but isn't it cool to hear the president say it? He kind of just told us that he doesn't really enjoy the whole sitting and listening part of the job... guess the perks of power and control are good enough to keep him interested. Not to mention the fact that he gets to have private concerts and have Jay-Z and Beyoncé over for dinner as they please... awesome!
Other than celebrities and money, President Obama has to run an entire country so the occasional sneaking off to watch TV is understandable. Bet the creators and cast of House of Cards and Scandal feel really cool right now. It's always nice to get a little promotion from the big man in Washington DC. If you haven't seen the shows, bet you are gong on Netflix right now. Before you do that can you finish reading first? (hehe).
