Xiaomi Redmi 2A 'Enhanced' Version To Come With 2GB RAM, 16GB Internal Storage
Xioami Redmi 2A is apparently getting a reboot after their market sales turned out more than what the company expected.
According to Phone Arena, the Xiaomi Redmi 2A is a cheaper version of a good smartphone with a tag price of only $78 in the market. Despite a successful launching with their meager phone specs, Lei Jun of Xiaomi said that they are currently improving the specs of the Xiaomi Redmi 2A in order to give their consumers the best smartphone possible. The revamped Xiaomi redmi 2A now boasts a 4.7-inch screen with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
Apparently, Xiaomi is trying to beat the holiday season. And by that, it means that the Chinese mobile company is trying its best to improve its latest flagship phone. Recently, Xiaomi's co-founder Lei Jun revealed that the Xiaomi Redmi 2 and Redmi 2A had a combined sales of 13 million in just five months after they were released.
The amount of units sold was enough to declare the models to be the sixth in line to reach the 10 million benchmark. As of now, Xiaomi is one of the top domestic smartphone manufacturers in China. The first quarter of this year, however, listed the giant tech company Apple as the number manufacturer in the Red Dragon country.
According to Phone Arena, Xiaomi announced last week that they are having a price cut for the Xiaomi Redmi 2A model. From its original price of $100, they took off 20 percent of it and let it slip on the market. Within hours, about 200,000 units were sold domestically. Within the day after the announcement was made, Xiaomi racked up 300,000 of units sold, specifically the Xiaomi Redmi 2A model.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi's ventures have not been limited to smartphones. They also have fitness bands that allow health-conscious people to check on their stats. According to the Verge, the company's $16 fitness tracker called the Mi Band Pulse has added a new feature that tracks down heart rate during an activity.
Xiaomi's pledge to provide cheap wearables that simultaneously gives consumers the best experience have been proven by this wearable device. Just think of buying a standalone heart rate device, the price would be much more than what you can actiaully get from the Mi band. It's actually the low price that makes Xiaomi shine in the market. The Mi Band Pulse will also go on sale on the Nov. 11.
