Bobbi Kristina Brown News Update: Bobby Brown Admits Nearly 'Giving up' After Daughter's Death [Watch]
Bobby Brown recently admitted he came close to "giving up," following the recent death of daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown.
"The Every Little Step You Take" singer is set to appear on the "Dr. Oz Show" this week. In a trailer released by the network, Enstarz reports an emotional Brown candidly opened up about ex-wife Whitney Houston and the only daughter they shared.
With current wife Alicia Etheredge at his side, an emotional Brown said, "I'm a little choked up, I'm sorry."
Bobbi Kristina Brown, 22, died under hospice care in late July, some six months after she was found face down in the bathtub of the Georgia home she shared with boyfriend Nick Gordon. She has since been buried next to her mother, who died just over three years before, in their native New Jersey.
Authorities have now launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Bobbi Kristina Brown's death that reportedly targets Gordon as the primary suspect. He has also been slapped with a multimillion dollar wrongful death suit by the conservator of his late girlfriend's estate Bedelia C. Hargrove, which charges that Gordon served Bobbi Kristina Brown a "toxic cocktail" that essentially rendered her defenseless during the time in question.
Gordon has denied all the accusations, but was prohibited from visiting his girlfriend after she was hospitalized by her family members. He was also banned from attending funeral services for her and has since hired famed Casey Anthony attorney Jose Baez to represent him.
In a statement released through his attorney, Bobby Brown recently asserted he believes Gordon "harmed" his daughter and is demanding justice for her. Gordon recently relocated from Atlanta to Florida.
Houston died in early 2012, after she too was discovered face down in the bathtub of the Beverly Hills hotel where she was staying. She was in town to perform at that year's Grammy Awards show, and authorities have since revealed she had drugs in her system at the time of her death.
