Selena Gomez stepped out with a new mystery man on Monday, just hours after she and ex Justin Bieber both hinted they might be hoping for yet another reconciliation.

According to the Daily Mail, "The Come Get It" singer was spied late Monday night hanging out with Gigi Hadid's friend Samuel Krost at a dinner at Cipriani in New York.

Word is the two "beamed from ear to ear" as they held hands from across the table, and at one point, she stepped over to sit on his lap. The two were also seen holding hands when arriving.

Just hours before, Bieber admitted to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that being away from his ex is "tough."

"There is a lot of stuff that reminds me of her," he added. "You know, in relationships, you see something on TV and you are like, 'I remember when we used to watch this or I remember that smell; it reminds me of that time.'"

The 21-year-old Bieber was even more candid in a recent Access Hollywood interview, telling reporters he still loves his ex, and his feelings for her have never wavered.

Gomez was rumored to be "giddy" over Bieber's frank admission.

"At first Selena was a bit surprised that Justin was so open about his feelings for her in public," a source said. "The fact that he's so ok with letting the world know how he feels about her makes her really happy and kind of giddy. She says she finds the whole thing very flattering."

Gomez is also rumored to have texted her ex a "thumbs up" message and several "winky face emojis."

In the Access Hollywood interview, Bieber also admitted that Gomez was his first love, and he longs for the day they can perhaps find their way back to one another.
