Black Friday Deals 2015: Best Buy Offers 'Doorbuster' Deals, Some Stores Closed on Thanksgiving Day
Just like last year, Best Buy will open its doors to shoppers a day early for Black Friday. The store is offering "doorbuster" deals on Thanksgiving Day, allowing people to start shopping at 5 p.m. on Thursday. Customers can line up for tickets two hours prior to entry.
Best Buy is offering good prices on a variety of tech goods. An Amazon Fire tablet sells for just $35. Apple products are cheap on the holiday too, like the Apple Watch, MacBooks and iMacs. An Apple Watch is $100 off, while $200 is knocked off MacBooks and iMacs.
Meanwhile, Target released its Black Friday ad on Monday with a full list of deals to be had. The mega store will kick off its sale at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
Some shoppers may skip turkey to complete their holiday shopping, since more stores are opening their doors a day early this year. J.C. Penney, Sears and Toys R Us will open their doors on Thanksgiving this year as well.
Still, a few places will remain closed on Thanksgiving in order to allow employees and customers to spend time with their families.
Here is a full list of the stores that are closed on Thanksgiving:
Nordstrom
DSW
Pier 1 Imports
Patagonia
Marshalls
REI (Only REI will remain closed on Black Friday as well.)
For customers who don't like crowds, there is no need to wait until Cyber Monday or Black Friday to catch some online deals. Some stores are releasing Internet deals as early as the start of Thanksgiving week.
Some of the best online deals of the year can be found at Kohl's, where deals will start rolling out on Monday Nov. 23.
Dell, Levi's and Target are also offering great online deals with free shipping. There are online deals at Best Buy as well, some of which qualify to have the $35 shipping fee waived.
