Now that the Android M, or Android 6.0 Marshmallow, update has begun rolling out to Google's Nexus devices and the greater Android universe beyond, everyone wants to know when their Android device will begin receiving the upgrade's OTA rollout.

While most manufacturers are releasing information about which devices will receive the Android M update, most remain coy about the timing of the OTA rollout -- usually for the obvious reason that the manufacturer is still in the process of tailoring the new Android Marshmallow OS for their particular devices and simply doesn't know yet.

Lenovo, however, might have let slip the specific month that owners of its popular K3 Note, A7000, and A7000 Plus handsets can expect to get the upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

But Lenovo fans shouldn't rejoice, because the news is not good at all. According to GSMArena, which claims to have spotted the Android M upgrade on Lenovo's official Android upgrade matrix, owners of the K3 Note and A7000/Plus series will have to wait until September 2016 for the update to roll out.

That's not a typo: reportedly Android M arrives on those handsets in September of next year. That's around the time when Google will be getting ready to launch Android N. 

Owners of those Lenovo devices will certainly not be happy to see that, and the company must have acted quickly to take those devices, and that incredibly far away Android Marshmallow update release date, down from their update matrix page. If you look at Lenovo's page now, it's as if those devices never existed.

In fact, there's no mention of Android 6.0 Marshmallow anywhere on the page now, which would include the upcoming Lenovo Vibe S1 and Lenovo Vibe P1, which GSMArena reportedly spotted with an Android M update release date in June of 2016. That's a little better than September, but also a long way away.
