Here's a treat for all you T-Mobile subscribers out there. The magenta carrier recently announced that it will be selling the Gold Platinum Edition of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, starting this week. The offer is the first of its kind from any major U.S. carriers. So if you've been inflicted with the gold fever, T-Mobile is the only remedy at the moment.

According to T-Mobile News, the Note 5's new flavor is available in two native storage models: 32 GB and 64 GB. The lesser capacity version won't cost you a dime upfront. Instead, it requires you to cash out $29.17 per month in a span of two years. That's $699.99 in full retail.

Naturally, the higher capacity version demands a much steeper price. The 64 GB Galaxy Note 5 will set you back $99.99 upfront and 24 payments of $28.34 per month. In full retail, that's about $779.99.

With eligible trade-in on JUMP! On Demand, the 32 GB version only costs $15 per month for 18 months while the 64 GB version still requires $99 down plus 18 payments of $14.50 per month.

The deals are similar to T-Mobile's White Pearl and Black Sapphire flavors of the Galaxy Note 5. If you plan to purchase the Gold Platinum Edition from the carrier's website or via its telesales, you can use the NOTE5DEAL promo code to get $50 off of your purchase. Spare money for some cool cases, don't you think?

When Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 5 in August 2015, many of its Western world fans were saddened by the fact that the handset will not be sold in Europe this year.

Shortly thereafter, the Galaxy Note 5 became available in the U.S. in just two of the three announced color options. The full choice of coating consists of White Pearl, Black Sapphire and Gold Platinum. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, the gold one has only been made available this week.

Color options for the Galaxy Note 5 have since been bulked up to five last month. However, the two additional flavors are only for folks in South Korea.

Sammy Hub reported that the Galaxy Note 5 Silver Titanium and Pink Gold Edition is available in 32 GB and 64 GB. The native storage variants cost â‚©899,800 and â‚©965,800, respectively. That's $800 and $860.

The growing popularity of gold-coated smartphones can be attributed to the introduction of the iPhone 5s back in 2013. Dozens of mobile manufacturers quickly followed suit and have since fashioned their flagship handsets with at least one shade of gold.
