Lamar Odom's one wish is to be out of the hospital for Thanksgiving, after being bedridden since suffering an apparent drug overdose late last month.

Hollywood Life reports the former NBA star is growing more "antsy" and "claustrophobic" as the holiday nears. He simply wants to be home to share the holiday with family and friends.

"He is dreading to spend time in the hospital during Thanksgiving," a source said. "He would love nothing more than to have a full Thanksgiving dinner and enjoy watching football with friends. It just isn't going to be the same in a hospital room."

According to Khloé Kardashian, her estranged husband's wish could be well within reach, as she reports he's now doing much better.

"He's definitely doing better which is awesome, every day is better," she recently told "Extra." "He's off of all machines. He is alive on his own, and no machines are helping him, which is great. But he still has a lot of physical and cognitive therapy to go through, so it's a long road for him."

Kardashian added her husband is now focused on trying to learn to walk again, and some days are better than others in the recovery process.

"It's gonna be a long, long time, every day is different," she said. "Some days he's really strong and some days he's weaker than the day before because it's mentally draining. When he can support himself on his own, or physically try to walk better on his own, or at least with an assistance, with like a walker, then he will probably leave the hospital and do a lot of cognitive and mental strengthening."

Meanwhile, word is Kardashian and mom Kris Jenner are busy trying to turn Odom's life story and history of drug use into a movie.

"No deals can be inked until Lamar's back on his feet, but Khloé thinks a movie could be a hit," a source told OK Magazine. "The only issue is how the family would be portrayed, and that's why Kris is heavily involved."

Reports are the family duo envisions the likes of Will Smith assuming the role of Odom and Jennifer Lawrence being cast as Kardashian.
