A White House Secret Service officer has been arrested for texting nudes to who he thought was an underage girl from Delaware.

CNN reports 37-year-old Lee Robert Moore turned himself him to Maryland State Police on Monday, after a criminal complaint was filed against him for soliciting an undercover detective posing as a 14-year-old girl.

"This incident was reported to our Office of Professional Responsibility on Friday, November 6," said a spokeswoman with the Secret Service. "On that same date, the employee's security clearance was suspended and the employee was placed on administrative leave. All Secret Service issued equipment was retrieved and the employee's access to all Secret Service facilities was terminated."

According to NBC News, Moore was released from state custody after he posted $105,000 on Friday. However, he still remains on a federal charge. Moore is facing state charges of sexual solicitation of a child under 18 and providing obscene material to a person under 18, as well as federal charge of transferring obscene material to a minor. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Delaware said Moore would appear in Wilmington federal court for his detention hearing sometime in the coming week.

Moore was caught during an undercover online sex sting operation conducted by Delaware State Police. Using online chat applications such as "Meet24" and "Kik," Moore messaged the alleged 14-year-old with sexual proposals and invites, and exchanged lude images.

"May seem like a small thing in the grand scheme, but I would take immense pleasure in pulling those shorts off your hips and down your cute little legs. Be exciting to try I mean id be nervous but still be fun. Just wouldn't want to bore u," wrote Moore in one exchange.

"He stated he wanted to travel to Delaware and meet in person for sex," said Detective Kevin McKay in an affidavit. "Moore made it clear that he knew I was a 14 yr old girl."

This incident marks the latest scandal involving the U.S. Secret Service. In 2012, over a dozen Secret Service members were found to hiring prostitutes during a presidential visit to South America.
