'Rosewood' Season 1 Episode 8 Spoilers: Rosewood, Villa Team up With Bounty Hunter [Watch]
"Rosewood" is all new Wednesday night, when Rosewood (Morris Chestnut) and Villa (Jaina Lee Ortiz) will team up with a bounty hunter to solve a murder case in "Bloodhunt and Beats."
"The search for a murderer in the Everglades teams Rosewood and Villa up with a bounty hunter who happens to be Hornstock's (Domenick Lombardozzi) former partner. Meanwhile, Pippy (Gabrielle Dennis) gets a big chance to launch her music career; and Villa tries to repair her relationship with her mom," the show's description reads on TVGuide.
Rosewood and Villa are back on good terms now and working together better than ever. In fact, she was the one he turned to in the last episode when he was having trouble with his family.
In Episode 7, Rosewood had to battle his father, Beaumont Sr. (Vondie Curtis-Hall), in court. His father was the expert witness for the defense, trying to prove the innocence of a coach accused of murdering a former player.
At the same time, Rosewood's parents were going through a divorce, and Rosewood blamed himself for his parents' split. Meanwhile, Rosewood Sr. blamed himself for his son's health issues growing up. With the help of Villa, the two hashed out all their problems.
How will that effect their relationship going further into the season? It's no secret that Rosewood is interested in Villa romantically, but she's still grieving the death of her husband. Will this experience bring her guard down?
Beaumont Sr. approached her with that idea in the last episode, telling Villa his son needs her.
"Well he needs you too, so stop being such a jack*ss," she said.
Villa also said that she does not have a "savior" complex like the Rosewoods. She believes people should just be left alone to figure problems out on their own.
Does that mean she wants Rosewood to just leave her alone to deal with the loss of her husband? She has actually turned to him for help in the past, but he wasn't there for her. Will he support her if she tries to fix things with her mom?
Tune into Fox on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET to catch all new episodes of "Rosewood" to find out.
