‘Battlefield 4’ DLC, Update & Download: Naval Strike Expansion Pack For PC And Xbox One Delayed
The Naval Strike DLC of "Battlefield 4" made its debut for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360 consoles yesterday. The PC and Xbox One versions of the game were also supposed to be released on the same date but were delayed according to a post by DICE on the Battlefield Blog.
DICE said, "We have delayed the PC version of 'Naval Strike' because we are concerned that the combination of the pack and planned PC updates would increase performance issues on mid-range to high-end PCs. We are working hard to resolve that issue now."
The game developer also discussed the problems which caused the delay of the Xbox One version of the DLC.
"We have decided to delay the Xbox One version of 'Naval Strike' because we want to address issues in the animation system that hinder players from engaging targets in set circumstances using popular weapon configurations," DICE clarified.
According to DICE, Xbox One and PC gamers can expect to get their hands on the DLC by early April of this year. The developer continued, "We are trying to resolve these problems as quickly as possible and hope to release the update in early April for Xbox One and PC. We also want to remind Xbox One and PC owners of 'Battlefield 4' Premium that they will have two weeks early access for Naval Strike once it's released."
The Naval Stroke DLC comes with numerous features including four new maps namely the Lost Islands, Wave Breaker, Nansha Strike and Operation Mortar, according to CinemaBlend.
Each new map features a unique water-based layout designed to enhance the naval warfare experience of the game.
The expansion pack also features the Carrier Assault mode, which was inspired by Battlefield 2142's Titan mode where warring teams must capture missile silos or destroy the enemy flagship from within using infantry units.
