'Gilmore Girls' Movie In The Works? Lauren Graham Would Love to Play Lorelai Again
Could the mother-daughter duo of "Gilmore Girls" best known for their fast-talking habits be hitting the theaters in the near future?
Entertainment Weekly reports that Lauren Graham who plans Lorelai Gilmore took time to do a reddit chat on Monday to promote her new book "Someday, Someday, Maybe."
During the course of the novelist's Q&A, fans threw up questions regarding the "Gilmore Girls" and of course, the possibility of a movie. While the actress coyly answered, "If a movie version could be as good as we'd all want it to be, I'd love to play that character again."
Fans wouldn't let up and she continued, "I honestly don't know [about a movie]. I appreciate how many have asked. That character was so special - I wonder what happens to her too!"
Ever so delightful and cheerful, here are some quick facts we learned about Lauren Graham after her reddit interview:
1. Lauren drinks as much coffee as Lorelai does on the show and misses the writing, "even though those long speeches could be a challenge."
2. Graham's favorite "Gilmore Girls" quote wasn't spurned by Lorelai or Rory but the quick witted Paris. The "Parenthood" star says, "My favorite GG quote isn't Lorelai's, but Paris'. It was raining, and Rory and Paris come in their dorm sopping wet. A girl passes by, notices they are drenched, and asks, 'Is it raining?' Paris, in Paris fashion, spits out, 'No, it's National Baptism Day, get your tubes tied'."
3. When asked out the hilarious Melissa McCarthy, Lauren only had kind words saying the "Heat" comedic genius is "Truly hilarious and kind on set, and then I'd go see her in Groundlings and be blown away by the characters she created."
4. As for an exciting or memorable moment on set? The star found it hard to pick one but does remember "working long hours and getting really punchy. We'd start making up raps and singing 'Loving You' by Minnie Ripperton."
