Black Friday Console Deals: 'Star Wars Battlefront' PS4 Bundle Includes Six Free Games, 'Gears of War' Xbox One Has Two Bonus Titles
Newegg's Black Friday sale will include heavily discounted deals for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Most of the bundles on offer will contain a free copy of "Star Wars Battlefront" plus an additional game.
As listed on the retailer's official website, those who purchase the 500 GB "Star Wars Battlefront" PlayStation 4 bundle will also receive four older "Star Wars" titles as well as "Destiny" and "Final Fantasy Type-0 HD." The bundle initially retails at $399, but in the spirit of the holiday season, the price has been slashed off to $350.
There are more options for those looking to purchase an Xbox One. The $350 "Gears of War" bundle comes with 500 GB of hard drive and bonus copies of "Assassin's Creed Unity" and "Star Wars Battlefront." The same extra titles are featured on the "Halo 5: Guardians" bundle complete with 1 TB of hard drive and a wireless gamepad adapter for Windows 10. The bundle retails at $500.
The third and final Xbox One option is the "Madden 16" bundle at $400. The set includes 1 TB hard drive plus bonus copies of "Star Wars Battlefront," "Destiny" and "NBA 2K15."
Just last month, Sony reduced the price of the PlayStation 4 from $400 to $350, but it will go even lower come Black Friday weekend.
Best Buy, GameStop, hhgregg, Toys R Us and Walmart will each pair the 500 GB console with "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection" for $300. While it doesn't list an actual price, Costco's Black Friday promotional ad indicates that it will be offering the 500 GB PlayStation 4 for $50 off, bringing it down to the comparable price of $300.
Looking to draw more buyers, Meijer will have the same $300 "Uncharted" PlayStation 4 bundle, but it will add a $50 custom coupon to be used before Christmas. The offer is only good for Thanksgiving Thursday.
Meanwhile, Microsoft has also adjusted the Xbox One's price to suit the holiday season. It's now down to $350. Like the PlayStation 4, more savings options are underway.
Best Buy, GameStop, hhgregg and Target will pair the 500 GB Xbox One with a downloadable code for "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" for $300. Target will throw in an extra $60 gift card with every purchase of the same bundle.
A 1 TB "Fallout 4" Xbox One bundle will be offered at hhgregg for $350. The package includes a download token for a free copy of "Fallout 3." The game will be playable on the Xbox One through backwards compatibility.
