Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is one of the best players in football right now, having tallied 19 goals in 16 appearances in all competitions. According to German newspaper Bild via Bleacher Report, Dortmund have placed a £42 million price tag on the Gabon international, and clubs like Barcelona, Arsenal and Liverpool are very interested in bringing him this January.

Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo as translated by Barca Blaugranes reported last month that Barcelona were interested in signing Aubameyang with officials of the Catalan club very impressed with his development in the past two years. He is believed to be a good replacement for Luis Suarez once the Uruguay star begins to decline. Barcelona already sent scout Ariedo Braida to watch the striker in Dortmund's home match against Werder Bremen to start the month, per talkSPORT.

In a report by The Express, Liverpool's new boss and former BVB manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be interested in signing Aubameyang. However, Klopp has refuted in his previous interview with Bild that he has no intentions of signing players from Dortmund.

"I have no intention whatsoever to lure Dortmund's stars to Liverpool. I am not interested in how much money I will be allowed to spend in January," the 48-year-old manager said as translated by Liverpool Echo.

Aubameyang signed a new contract with Dortmund at the end of July this year that expires in 2020, per the official BVB website. He said in an interview with BBC Sports last month that he is 100 percent committed to his current club and is not thinking about leaving. He also said that he wants to play in Spain in the future, bringing hope for Barcelona supporters.

"My dream is to play in Spain. Lots of people think that the Premier League would good for me but my mum is Spanish and I really have that dream to play over there. After that maybe one day the Premier League but for the moment I aim to one day play in Spain," Aubameyang confessed.

According to Sport, a Catalan newspaper, Barcelona have no budget until the June 2015 and are more focused on cutting their costs. Although the report said that an attacking option is on their list, it is unlikely that they will sign anyone this winter unless an injury happens.
