Mariah Carey thinks new boyfriend James Packer is special and she doesn't care who knows it.

The "Hero" singer recently raved to Access Hollywood about her billionaire beau, "He's a great person. She later added, "I think anybody that's a friend of his would say the same thing, if not more, so I can't say enough nice things about him. He's just a spectacular guy."

The two became an item earlier this year when and Carey arrived for the interview sporting a diamond necklace around her neck gifted to her by her Australian, billionaire boyfriend.

"It was a surprise," the five-time Grammy winner said of the said the jewels, adding that it wasn't the first time James has demonstrated a taste for dazzling jewelry. "He's given me one before, so this was like surprise No. 2."

The two made their red carpet debut arm-in-arm back in September, hitting the Tribeca Film Institute together for the showing of "The Intern."

Dynamic as he may be, Packer isn't the only consuming all of Carey's time and attention these days. She told Access her twin children, Moroccan and Monroe, are starting to become aware of her legendary status.

"My son has started saying, 'You're Mariah Carey,'" she said in her best 4-year-old excited voice. "It's like, 'Oh my gosh, I can't handle it. I don't even know who taught him that. It definitely wasn't me."

Rumors also recently surfaced that Carey had moved in with Packer at his Beverly Hills home. The two are also reported to be "openly" discussing marriage and recently journeyed to Israel together to consult with his spiritual adviser.

Carey was previously married to Nick Cannon, with the two splitting in late 2014 after six years together. TMZ previously reported Cannon formally filed in December of 2014.
