"Fallout 4" has been unleashed and it has already generated plenty of buzz. It has mostly been positive, but the players have also encountered some bugs, particularly a major one that has led to the game crashing on all the platforms. Bethesda finally speaks up, addressing their biggest title release yet and the updates that will be coming soon.

In their first official statement on their website since "Fallout 4" has been launched, Bethesda took a moment to express their gratitude to all the fans who made the game an undeniable success.

"You've made 'Fallout 4' not just our largest game launch ever, but one of the industry's," Bethesda said. "It's beyond anything we hoped for. Seeing and reading your stories has given our whole studio immense joy. It's amazing to see what you've done with the game, what you've discovered, and what you've built! We know there's even more to come; the game is full of hidden gems and ways it can be played."

Bethesda also called the new installment of the franchise their "most robust and solid release ever", even with the expansive universe and the unprecedented freedom of "Fallout 4."

Even with the positive feedback, though, some glitches have occurred, including a particularly nasty one that resulted in the game crashing back to the desktop in all the available platforms. According to a previous report from Latin Post, the bug begins during a settlement quest that prompts the players to head to Monsignor Plaza. Upon beginning the journey to the area, the players will then experience the bug and have the game crash back to the desktop.

While Bethesda did not specify this particular bug, the developer did promise an upcoming patch to fix existing issues within the game. The process will begin with a beta patch on Steam, then a full release on PC and finally on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

"This process has worked well for us in the past and allows us to get more fixes out faster. Expect to see more updates, that are smaller and more frequent, than a few big ones," Bethesda explained in the official release. "This allows us to make sure each fix is working right, as any change can have unintentional side effects in a game this huge. We expect the first beta patch to be up next week."

Hopefully, this upcoming beta patch will include a fix for the major bug that has been hindering player performance. What else are you looking for in the new update?
