It may be common for any gadget user of today to experience crashes every once in a while. But the main question is which of the leading OS of today would offer less crash rates: the Android KitKat or the iOS 7.1?

According to Techno Buffalo, a brand new study made by Crittercism analyzes how often the two leading OS versions crash. The end result led to the performance monitoring company discovering that the Android is way more stable than that of the Apple's.

After comparing the two, it was unveiled that the iOS 7 crashes with a 2.1 percent rate and the iOS 6 at 2.5 percent. Apple's latest OS version which is the iOS 7.1 reaches a crash rate of 1.6 percent. On the other hand, the Android versions starting off with the Gingerbread is at 1.7 percent crash while the latest versions like the KitKat has a crash rate of 1.6 percent. It also made a discovery that Apple's iPhone 5 is the most stable smartphone to be recognized while all Samsung devices have lesser tendencies to crash compared to other Android handsets.

The study was made up of one billion monthly active users. There may certainly be other aspects to be considered but for now, it concludes that Google's platform offering is the one to choose for fewer crashes.

On other iOS 7.1 news, it currently has a glitch that can work as an advantage to users who want to get rid of apps like Stocks and Compass.
