'Supergirl' Season 1 Episode 5 Spoilers: Kara Babysits While Saving the Day [Watch]
In Episode 5 of Season 1 of "Supergirl," titled "How Does She Do It," Kara (Melissa Benoist), aka Supergirl, not only has to save the day, but must also serve as her boss' babysitter.
In a preview for the new episode, set to air Nov. 23, Kara is seen taking on bad guys trying to bomb National City, while making sure she isn't late to fulfill her babysitting duties for her boss Cat (Calista Flockhart), who needs someone to look after her son Carter (Levi Miller).
According to Variety, Kara will struggle to connect with Carter until they find common ground, a love for Supergirl, which was revealed in an exclusive clip.
"Oh you like Supergirl?" Kara asks in the clip, to which Carter replies, "Last week she stopped Reactron. Superman never did that. And earlier she caught an entire building, and she can shoot lasers out of her eyes."
Kara teases Carter about possibly having a crush on Supergirl, which leads Winn (Jeremy Jordan), who knows that Kara is Supergirl, to add that he knows Supergirl personally. Kara quickly shuts him down, forcing him to explain that he only "feels like he knows her."
Also coming up in the episode will be more of Lucy Lane (Jenna Dewan Tatum), the newest addition to the cast, who came to National City to try and reconnect with her ex-boyfriend James Olsen (Mehcad Brooks).
For those who are on team Kara and James, Lucy's presence may bring trouble for their relationship, but the two women will not become enemies.
According to Deadline, the episode was originally supposed to air on Nov.16. After the Paris attacks on Nov. 13, CBS decided to pull the episode, since it deals with bombings in National City that are too similar to the real life violence that affected France. Instead, the episode was replaced with another episode called "Livewire."
