Rihanna Debuts First Clip from 'ANTIdiaRy'
Rihanna released the first clip from "ANTIdiaRy," an interactive app she created in partnership with Samsung.
The 27-year-old "B*tch Better Have My Money" singer unlocked access to the first video from "ANTIdiaRy" during the 2015 American Music Awards on Sunday, according to Rap-Up.
Roy Nachum, who designed the cover art for Rihanna's upcoming album "ANTI," helped inspire "ANTIdiaRy," which reveals the singer's unique life story.
Rihanna unveiled the first minute-long snippet, called "Bedroom," which features the artist reflecting on her childhood. She is seen in an all-white room with two kids, when she picks up a key with "R8" on it. The singer follows the children down a hall into a dark room. Another child appears, who is supposed to be the singer herself, wearing a gold crown -- the same image from the cover art to her forthcoming album.
"Like Rihanna, Samsung is committed to reimagining and reinventing what's possible in technology and culture, pushing boundaries to deliver what's next to our fans-and hers," a press release reads. "And just as Rihanna has served as a voice of disruption in art, music, fashion, and culture, Samsung has once again, disrupted what's possible with its innovative ambitions and technologies."
This clip, which is one of many to be included, can be viewed on mobile devices at AntiDiary.com. It was created in partnership with the theater company Punchdrunk. In each room, fans are told to search for clues to unlock Rihanna's memories.
Rihanna has yet to announce a release date for her eighth studio album, "ANTI." The album, however, has already produced three singles: "FourFiveSeconds," which also features Kanye West and Paul McCartney, "B*tch Better Have My Money" and "American Oxygen." West also served as the executive producer on the offering, working alongside other producers, such as Alex da Kid, Jeff Bhasker and Travis Scott.
