After just a few weeks of being single, model Gigi Hadid is off the market again, as she is reportedly dating former One Direction member Zayn Malik.

US Weekly revealed that the 20-year-old model and the 22-year-old singer have been spending time with each other lately, adding that for now, their "new thing" is something that they are trying to experiment with just to see where it will go.

"I wouldn't call them boyfriend and girlfriend," one insider told the publication. "But seeing each other? Definitely. He's chuffed."

After the American Music Awards, the pair was spotted hanging out cozily in West Hollywood. "Gigi was leaving The Nice Guy," an onlooker told the publication. "Gigi went out the front, though. She walked down the street and jumped into the car where Zayn was waiting to pick her up."

According to Hollywood Life, the rumored couple has met each other through wing woman, Kendall Jenner. The report says that Hadid and Malik were introduced to each other by Jenner while she was dating Malik's former One Direction co-member, Harry Styles.

The tipster further revealed that their romance did not jet off until Kylie Jenner's birthday bash in August and Malik spent the entire night with the two model gal pals as he knew only a few people in the party.

"Kendall was the one who played Cupid. It's all very new, but they are both really into each other," the source adds.

Speaking of Jenner's ex, Hadid had an awkward run in with Styles recently at the AMAs and everyone noticed that the model gave a cold shoulder on the British crooner. According to Bustle, Hadid's lukewarm response to Styles could be related to the news about her affair with Malik, who is not in good terms with 1D members.

Another speculation could have been because of the fact that Styles also dated Hadid's BFF, Taylor Swift. Just weeks ago, Styles admitted that One Direction's new single, "Perfect," was inspired by his relationship -- and breakup, eventually -- with the "Bad Blood" singer.

Hadid just recently came out of the dating sphere after she and former Jonas Brothers member, Joe Jonas, have ended her five-month fling. The couple started dating in June and ended their flame two weeks ago because of their careers.

Meanwhile, Malik has been enjoying the single life quite longer than Hadid, as he called off his two-year engagement with Little Mix member, Perrie Edwards.
