'Fallout 4' PC Patch Details: Keyboard Remapping, Stability Improvements & More
The "Fallout 4" for PC has released its first patch that aims to improve the stability of the game as well as some keyboard remapping.
The much anticipated "Fallout 4" video game was not spared from the common bugs that tend to derail a good game from performing at its best, so Bethesda took the step and released an update. Based on the Steam Community post, the current patch is on its beta version, which means that it won't cover everything that needs to be fixed, but it will serve the purpose of fixing bugs encountered on "Fallout 4" for PC.
The "Fallout 4" patch for PC includes two new features and mostly fixes in the game. They allow the number pad keys to be used when remapping while the Quick Container now caters to remapping activation.
The fixes included in the patch mainly tackle stability improvements and overall memory. Bethesda also included an update that will fix the bug that locks equipped weapons after players complete Reunions. Incomplete quests on Freedom calls have also been addressed and fixed by the update.
An integral part of any game is the player's ability to save a level, and Bethesda was able to fix the PC crash that players experience when jumping into water as well as reloading saved games.
You can download the "Fallout 4" patch for PC by logging into your Steam account and right clicking the "Fallout 4" tab in your library. Go to Settings and select Betas, where you will see a drop-down menu. Then, choose Beta Update before clicking OK. After clicking OK. the "Fallout 4" game will automatically update and will appear as "Fallout 4 [beta]" in your Steam library.
If you wish to opt out of the game's beta version, you can still do so by redoing steps one to four. When you reach the drop-down menu, choose NONE and it will revert your game to its original form.
According to Attack of the Fan Boy, the beta update 1.2.33 will largely fix the annoying setbacks of the current game, so this may somehow keep fans from totally letting go of "Fallout 4." The "Fallout 4" patch for PC generally features several updates that will fix some in-game errors instead of giving additional features.
