Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Reconciliation Imminent? Not So Fast, Ex-Couple Not Dating Exclusively
After longtime on-again-off-again couple Justin Beiber and Selena Gomez were recently seen together in a romantic weekend at the Montage Beverly Hills, where Bieber serenaded Gomez in public, rumors suggest that the two have reconciled. However, sources say that they are still not dating exclusively.
There had been an outrage when the two were spotted out and about in California strolling and even being romantic for the whole weekend. TMZ even reported that the two had a romantic weekend, although there was no confirmation that they were back officially and may just be just testing out the waters.
At Friday night's American Music Awards after-party at the Nice Guy in West Hollywood, TMZ reported that the two didn't hold hands and Bieber even left the party with "Purpose" collaborator Halsey. Bieber, Halsey and Gomez have yet to comment about the circulating rumors.
Gomez and Bieber were both at the 2015 AMAs where Gomez performed her latest single "Same Old Love." People reported that the former lovers just met up at Bieber's after-party, but they were just friendly, according to an onlooker.
Meanwhile, Hollywood Life reports that the on-and-off-again couple, Bieber and Gomez, have reconciled. However, they are still not exclusively dating since they don't want to be in the media's spotlight once again, which could make or break yet another opportunity to get back together.
"They both have an understanding that how they are playing things now is the exact route things should progress for the time being. They are going to hang out, and have their meet-ups, but they will not endure the media circus they would get into if they went exclusive again with each other. Selena wants more, but is accepting the way things are going because it allows her to still be in Justin's life," a source told the Hollywood Life.
Furthermore, the publication reports that their current situation works best for their hectic schedules. Adding labels and drawing more attention from the media could again raise issues in their relationship that could end badly as the two might break up again.
The two are just taking things slow, according to an insider from People, who claims that the 21-year-old "Sorry" singer and the 23-year-old former child star simply "care about each other and miss each other, but they're not getting back together right now."
The rumors regarding the two dating are yet to be confirmed by Bieber and Gomez.
