Bravo Network officials are shooting extra "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" scenes featuring Kim Richards in hopes of spicing things up, following last season's boring campaign.

Radar Online reports the once ousted Richards is now being counted on to help rescue the franchise. A source indicated producers needed to "do something to give the audience something to talk about because there was really nothing that exciting going on."

The source later added, "It wasn't until Kim Richards filmed with the cast at sister Kyle's La Quinta vacation home that producers realized how boring things had been without her."

Richards convinced Bravo officials to welcome her back into the fold after returning to rehab and proving to be clean and sober for several months.

Many consider the chemistry strong between Richards and Yolanda Foster. Now the two seem to be growing even closer, given the bumpy roads they have each endured in recent times.

Several media outlets have reported Foster has confronted the ladies about their doubts that she is indeed suffering from Lyme disease.

"She was beyond hurt after finding out that some of the ladies were asking a lot of questions and even suggesting she didn't even have it," a source said. "She was particularly upset with Kyle Richards and Lisa Rinna for not sticking up for her when she wasn't around, and now she is ready to spill all of their dirty secrets."

Richards, meanwhile, was dropped from the cast entirely, following a series of substance related, public meltdowns, including one that ended in her arrest for shoplifting from a Van Nuys area Target store.

In addition, she has been in and out of rehab several times, with one stint coming about after she publicly berated her daughter on her wedding day, leading to a confrontation between the two.
