‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ News: Adele Performs ‘Water Under the Bridge,’ Talks Favorite Music
Adele performed her new track "Water Under the Bridge" during her visit on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" on Monday night.
The 27-year-old "Hello" singer stopped by the late night talk show to sing some of her new songs. She also chatted with Fallon about her favorite music, according to People.
Adele admitted she loves listening to Rihanna and made a plea for Frank Ocean to release new music. In addition, she spoke about the advice she's been given by Rick Rubin and made fun of Fallon's fake British accent.
"You sound like Russell Brand," Adele told Fallon of his British accent.
The singer also played the game Box of Lies against Fallon. The game required them to each choose boxes with silly items inside. They then proceeded to give the other person clues about the items in the box, trying to trick them out of knowing what the item actually was. Fallon ended up being the winner of the game, but Adele put up a good fight.
The singer released her third studio album, "25," on Friday. So far, the album has produced the single "Hello." She also appeared on "Saturday Night Live" the same night and performed her tracks "Hello" and "When We Were Young." The cast members on the show also performed a skit in which a family argues during Thanksgiving dinner until a little girl turns on Adele's "Hello," at which point everyone stops fighting and starts singing the song with intense emotion.
Adele also appeared on "The Graham Norton Show" on Friday and pretended to be an Adele impersonator among several other impersonators, who thought they were on a talent show.
The singer's "25" album has already sold 2.3 million copies in the U.S. in its first three days since release.
