Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner Plan to Adopt Twins in Hopes of Saving Marriage?
Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are rumored to be considering adopting twins in a last ditch effort to save their troubled marriage.
"The battling stars are set to adopt infant twins to go along with biological children Violet, 9; Seraphina, 6; and Sam, 3 and will make the big announcement at Christmas," The National Enquirer reports.
The magazine adds both of the 43-year-old Hollywood A-listers are committed to saving their union and have jointly agreed to put their $150 million breakup on hold.
The two split earlier this summer and announced they were headed for divorce court, after the Academy Award-winning Affleck was rumored to have engaged in an affair with his children's nanny, Christine Ouzounian. Ouzounian later claimed that she and the "Good Will Hunting" actor had been intimate, though Affleck long insisted that he had done nothing wrong.
"What started out as a flirtation quickly turned into more," a source close to Ouzounian told E! News of the planned hush, hush relationship. "Eventually she couldn't contain her excitement and spilled the beans that she was dating Ben Affleck...she told her friends she was completely in love with him."
In time, Affleck distanced himself from Ouzounian, which reportedly included him changing his cell phone number without alerting her. At one point, she was rumored to be considering taking advantage of her newfound celebrity to enter the world of reality TV, considering shows such as "Dancing With The Stars" and "The Bachelorette."
OK Magazine reports Affleck now plans on also spending the upcoming holidays with Garner and his children as a family.
"Neither Ben nor Jen want to spend time apart when the holidays are events that bring families together," a source said. "With that in mind, grandparents and other family members on both sides will be present."
