Jimmy Kimmel Live: Harrison Ford, Chewbacca, Adele's 'Hello' Featured in Fun Nuggets for the Show
It is always a good night at Jimmy Kimmel's late night show "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on CBS. Monday night was even better than expected as Harrison Ford, Chewbacca and even Adele's "Hello" made an appearance and made everybody laugh.
While many viewers are tired because of Monday's work, Kimmel's show, however, was a big hit. The show guested famed "Star Wars" actor Ford and Chewbacca for their fun nuggets in the show as the upcoming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" comes to theaters soon on Dec.18.
At first, Kimmel said his introductory speech right before the sketch was played for the audience on the show. "There's been some, well let's just call it animosity, between two members of the original cast. I really don't know what happened. I know it involved an affair of some kind, I know it involved a woman," Kimmel said as quoted by CBS News when, suddenly, sirens went off which turned out to be the link to the video sketch.
In the video, Kimmel was seen going out of the studio and sees a group of people looking at a building's rooftop where Chewbacca was standing and was ready to jump. Policemen were also there and Kimmel started to discourage the famous "Star Wars" character not to jump.
Then Ford surprised everyone as he appeared and was initially angry at Chewbacca. "Do us a favor. Jump!" Ford said in the video as quoted by Vanity Fair. "You're the one who couldn't keep it in your furry pants," he added. "She was my wife."
The situation seemed to be intensifying when Kimmel told Ford to remember the good times he's had with Chewbacca, which prompted Adele's "Hello" to play in the background while Ford and Chewbacca were seen in a flashback playing checkers, drinking beer, getting pedicures and grooming Chewbacca's tangled fur.
After the funny scenes, the video ended with Ford and Chewbacca reconciling and Ford coming up to Chewbacca while Kimmel screamed, "Shut the F**k up!" After the funny nugget, Kimmel welcomed "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" cast members including Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher and Adam Driver along with director J.J. Abrams.
Kimmel, of course, wanted to know the inside scoop on what to expect in the film but, of course, he was not given the privilege so fans could still look forward to watching the film themselves.
One of the most anticipated films of the year, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," is coming to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015, CBS News reports.
