Former "Full House" star Bob Saget didn't mince words in recently ripping onetime mentor and fellow funnyman Bill Cosby over the growing sexual assault allegations he now faces.

"I think any human being that does things that are despicable to other human beings will be slightly tarnished by history," Saget told HuffPost Live when asked if he thought all the recent allegations lodged against Cosby would come to impact his legacy.

He later added, "I went to Temple University [Cosby's alma mater], and he was a mentor of mine ... It's very sad. I think the answer is obvious: The man has been tarnished."

In all, more than 50 women have stepped forward to allege they were drugged and sexually assaulted by the now 78-year-old Cosby over a period that spanned nearly five decades.

Cosby has never been criminally charged in connection with any of the claims, and he has steadfastly proclaimed his innocence. "The Cosby Show" star has kept a low profile as of late, though he was recently forced to submit to a seven-hour deposition as part of a civil suit stemming from one of the accusations.

Famed civil rights attorney Gloria Allred grilled Cosby in Boston on behalf of her client Judy Huth, a former Playboy bunny who alleged she was victimized by him more than 40 years ago when she was just 15 years old.

Cosby and his wife of more than 50 years Camille were recently photographed together in New York for the first time in more than a year. A source previously told People Magazine the allegations against Cosby, and his admission to multiple extramarital affairs, had little impact on their relationship.
