Lollapalooza 2014 Chicago Music Festival, Tickets & Confirmed Rumors: Day Passes Sold Out For Male-Heavy Lineup Featuring Outkast
Lollapalooza, which is scheduled for August of this year, has already announced its lineup of musicians who will be playing during the 3-day event. The festival will be staged in Chicago. Among the biggest artists included in this year's lineup are Eminem, Skrillex, Arctic Monkeys, Calvin Harris and Kings of Leon. This is the fourth year in which Lollapalooza has headlined only male musicians, with Lady Gaga being the last female who made the marquee during the 2010 festival.
OutKast will also play during the festival, along with 40 other festivals this year. The inclusion of OutKast in this year's lineup has made the festival even more exciting. The band has been on hiatus for over seven years. They last released an album in 2006. Now that they are back in action, a lot of fans simply can't wait to hear them perform again.
The rest of this year's Lollapalooza lineup, however, has been deemed a picture of monotony.
The list looks almost the same as that of many other festivals this year, with some performers playing on the exact same stage as just a few months ago. Other performers, like Eminem and Kings of Leon, have also appeared in many previous Lollapalooza festivals. There were other musicians who were expected to perform in Lollapalooza, especially after scoring some Grammys, but were not given the chance to do so.
For the 10th anniversary of Lollapalooza, there will be eight stages for performances that will run over the course of three days. The Chicago Lakefront Grant Park was chosen as the main venue for the event. Three-day passes come in Platinum, VIP, Regular, and Early Bird, but according to the website, only Platinum level tickets are currently available. Similarly, the $100 one-day passes for each day are also sold out. Last year, there was an average of 100,000 visitors every day. This year, the organizers are expecting more.
