'Halo 5' PC Release Date: Microsoft Won't Bring Game to PC, Fans Taking Matters Into Their Own Hands
With "Halo 5" not coming to PC, fans tried to recreate the video game for PC and a gameplay teaser started to circulate online.
According to VG247, the name of the project that works on delivering the "Halo" series from one to three is called Installation 01. Despite the team not bearing any name, the video they have created has significantly addressed the issues of "Halo" not being integrated on PC.
The team abides to Microsoft's Game Content Usage Rules, saying the game can be freely downloaded and distributed based on Microsoft's rules. They are not making money out of it or have used the video to cover the expenses for its creation. The game's video trailer said, "The work is all a labor of love, our team gets nothing in return except the satisfaction of making the ultimate 'Halo' tribute, and some portfolio building."
The team is composed of several developers from all over the world, and all have the same purpose in mind, which is to bring the "Halo" series to PC. The team has at least 20 members, but they are currently looking to include more 3D/2D artists as well as programmers. The video below shows how long the team has spent in developing the game, and it seems that it has been under their constant supervision for quite some time now.
The playable concept of the game is expected to come out in eight months or one year. Until then, the programmers will continue to post trailers of every developed mode of the game.
According to a report from GameWatcher, the only "Halo" series that has seen the light of PC are mainly the "Halo: Combat Evolved" and "Halo 2."
The "Halo Online" has closed its beta version earlier this year, and since then, no announcement has been made whether "Halo" is ever going to see the power of PC.
The team is currently contemplating on creating a dedicated website for the game, but right now, they are more concentrated on pouring all of their efforts on the game itself. The game is also on its pre-alpha stage, meaning enhancement and improvement within the game is bare at the moment. They also have a Facebook page, where you can check on the latest news about the "Halo" series for the PC.
Are you excited to see the outcome of the "Halo" series for PC?
