Presidential Turkey Pardon 2015: Sasha & Malia Obama Feature Thanksgiving Outfit Inspiration
As the annual Presidential Turkey Pardon commenced at the White House Rose Garden today, U.S. President Barack Obama was happy not only to present "Honest" and Abe, the two turkeys to be pardoned this year, but was also glad to be with his two daughters Sasha and Malia Obama, who are both in their Thanksgiving outfits.
Of course, the ceremony was as fun as expected since turkeys were pardoned by the U.S. President and were in a full-blown ceremony complete with all the media people to witness it. However, the most noticeable thing was Sasha and Malia's Thanksgiving attire, which, according to E! News, would be an inspiration for other teenage girls to wear this holiday season.
E! News reported that the 14-year-old daughter of President Obama, Sasha, was looking perfectly cozy in her cream knit sweater, which she matched with a high-waisted denim pencil skirt. The presidential daughter was also smart for accessorizing her outfit with sheer black tights, a pair of maroon socks and black ankle boots.
Meanwhile, Sasha's older sister, 17-year-old Malia looked casual and cozy in her navy and suede coat and under it was a simple and classic striped turtleneck. Malia, like her sister Sasha, also accessorized her outfit with black leggings, a pair of ivory ankle socks and boots.
Apart from their fabulous Thanksgiving outfits, the First Daughters were also in high spirits during the event, especially since their father, President Obama, was quite humorous during the annual ceremony.
ABC reported that the U.S. President cracked some pretty good jokes to go along with the ceremony. "It is hard to believe that this is my seventh year of pardoning turkeys," he said as quoted by ABC. "Time flies, even if turkeys don't," he added.
"That was good, that was good," Sasha then responded after her father's joke, to which President Obama replied, "I thought it was good." And as for the turkeys this year, they are now free, as pardoned by the U.S. President.
"Abe is now a free bird. He's TOTUS -- the Turkey of the United States," President Obama said as quoted by ABC. "If for some reason Abe can't fulfill his duties to walk around and gobble all day, Honest is in an undisclosed location ready to serve in the TOTUS line of succession," he added.
