Adele Net Worth: 'Hello' Singer Earned Over $25 Million Despite Not Working Last Year
Unlike any other typical working citizen, money moves for Adele and not the otherwise. The "Hello" hitmaker has been reported to have made over $25 million even though she barely moved for work last year, according to a Perez Hilton report.
The digits were released by Adele's company, Melting Stone, early this week and it was said that much of her earnings came from her two previous albums, "19" and "21."
As if $25 million isn't big enough for someone who nearly does nothing, the figure is only a part of Adele's whopping net worth as she is also the big boss of another venture -- Melted Stone Publishing Limited -- which comprises her businesses regarding her lyrics and sheet music.
Altogether, the British songstress is estimated to amount at $75 million. What more if she had not been into a three-year hiatus? With a hefty net worth as big as that, Adele is slated as one of the richest Britons whose age is under 30.
So what did Adele do exactly last year instead of working herself off to build the empire she has now? Daily Mail shared that the songstress has been busy taking care of her little bunch of joy, Angelo -- her son with philanthropist Simon Konecki.
On an average per day, the singer makes at least $70,000 -- $20,000 more than what an average British worker can earn in 2015.
Adele's net worth is believed to have topped net worths of her closest music rivals. One Direction, whose net worth is estimated as a group, is nothing compared to Adele's as the boy band's assets are only a half of Adele's.
Adding more to her already-green pastures is her income from her recently released "25" album. As her hot album already racked numerous recognitions even before it has dropped for sales, Adele is also expected to take home umpteenth amounts of cash for her new music.
In just four days, her "21" follow-up album has already broken the record that NSYNC holds -- 2.4 million sales in seven days -- as her album sales already went up to 2.43 million units.
People couldn't help but ask how Adele does it. As for her new music, the singer shared to CBS News' "60 Minutes" host Liz Hayes that her inspiration has been none other than her boyfriend, Konecki,
"Being in such an amazing relationship with someone that's so there for me and so loyal and is really part of my core now," Adele said. "That's what made me write about everything I've ever done, because I've got his love."
