WhatsApp has released the stable version of update 2.12.367 to its users and it will come with three new features, Neurogadget reports.

According to the news outlet, the rich link preview is the first feature that has been included and it allows the user to hover a link that will show the URL, link or tweet. The importance of this feature is the ability of the user to know what the link is about without actually opening. This is usually important to people who are on the go and has no time to immediately open and read inks sent to them by their friends or families.

The second feature included on the WhatsApp update is starred messages. Starred messages allow the user to tap and hold the message for later reading. This is somewhat similar to bookmarking, where the user can easily access the message on a later time or date via the starred messages. The feature enables the message to stay prominent compared to the others who were not "bookmarked." Again, this feature is useful for people on the go, who can't attend to such details immediately. Removing "save" will prompt the user to do the same action, and that's by tapping and holding the message to remove the star.

The third feature on WhatsApp update 2.12.367 is what they call direct share. Direct share allows the user to quickly locate a contact and share information with him or her. The said feature, however, is only available for Android users who have upgraded to the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Besides the three new features, WhatsApp update 2.12.367 also includes bug fixes. The WhatsApp stable version is now available on the Google App Store for download.

Another trusted site, where users can download the latest from WhatsApp, is APK Mirror. Prior to downloading, it is important to know that the latest stable version requires a total of 23.25 MB of space on the handset device. Instead of going through the previous beta of the WhatsApp app, just download and install the stable version to get all the features and fixes you need for the app.
