Miguel Bose Gets Representation from Ocesa Seitrack, Sells Andy Warhol Paintings
Famed artist Miguel Bose has joined forces with Mexico's Ocesa Seitrack to help manage his career.
According to EFE, the Mexican agency will work with the artist on a global scale.
Bose has sold over 30 million records worldwide and is one of the most popular Latino artists of today. The 59-year-old Spaniard has an expansive discography that includes 17 album releases with Warner Music from 1986 to the present and eight record releases with CBS Records from 1977 to 1984.
Bose has also appeared in over 32 films and TV series, according to IMDb, including "The Naked Eye," "Oui," "Libertarias," " Enciende mi passion," "Mazeppa," "The Most Natural Thing" and "L'avaro." He also worked with renowned Spanish auteur Pedro Almodovar on the film "High Heels."
"I am happy with this alliance and, without a doubt, at this point in my career I couldn't have chosen better travel companions," Bose said according to the report. "I know that with Ocesa Seitrack I'll do great things, probably the most important and distinct in my professional trajectory. I am thrilled."
The artist won the 2013 Person of the Year at the Latin Grammys and picked up the 2007 World Music Award for World's Best Selling Spanish Artist. In 2002 he won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Male Pop Vocal Album.
Bose recently made headlines for putting two Andy Warhol paintings on the market. According to Art Net News, the artist received the paintings as birthday presents in the early 1980s and will sell them in early December. The two paintings, entitled "Oxidation Painting" and "Dollar Sign," have value of over 70,000 euros. Bose is a major art collector and is constantly on the market making expensive purchases of major paintings.
Bose had a friendship with Warhol, whom he credits with an album cover.
"We began our friendship after I made a trip to New York in the early 80s, during which he designed an album cover for me. Warhol listened to my music at the Factory even before we met," Bose stated according to El Mundo.
