Cleveland Cavaliers vs Washington Wizards: TV Schedule & Live Stream
The Cleveland Cavaliers will try to remain undefeated at home when the struggling Washington Wizards visit the Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday night. It will be the first of four matchups this season between these two teams in the Eastern Conference.
The Cavaliers are coming off a close 90-88 win over the Brooklyn Nets last Saturday at home. LeBron James scored on a running sky hook with a second left to help Cleveland improve their home record to 9-0 and 13-4 overall for the season.
"I got to my spot where I wanted to. I work on those shots. I work on my game a lot. Actually sometimes it's a little easier when you get someone bigger because you have to get it over the top of them and you just float it right over the top of them," James said after the game.
"Obviously, I want the ball in my hands down the stretch. I feel like I can make something happen for not only myself but for our team. I'm happy I was able to come through for us," he added. James finished the game with 26 points, nine rebounds and five assists while Kevin Love also scored 26 points and grabbed seven boards.
The Wizards are currently struggling and are on a four-game losing streak with an average margin deficit of 16.5. Their latest loss against the Toronto Raptors was a game they played better until the last second when they allowed Cory Joseph to hit the game-winning, buzzer-beating 3-point shot to give the Raptors an 84-82 win.
Bradley Beal led the Wizards in scoring with 20 points while John Wall added 18 points but missed a pair of free throws late in the game that gave Toronto the chance to win. "We felt like we let this one slip away. But you can kind of deal with this, the way we competed. And that's the most important thing," Wall said after the game.
"We've got to cut the negativity we have coming from players, coaches, staff, and media. It's not even fun coming here anymore. So much negativity. I understand we're losing games, but darn," center Marcin Gortat added, who finished the game with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
The Cavaliers won the season series last year, three games to one, against the Wizards. Tip-off in Cleveland starts at 7:00 p.m. ET and is available nationally on NBATV and TSN in Canada. The game is also broadcasted locally on CSN and FSOhio.
