World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Timothy Bradley turns down a proposed rematch with Jessie Vargas. His promoter Bob Arum also denies having talks with the camp of International Boxing Federation titleholder Kell Brook.

Bradley, who successfully defended his WBO title for the first time via a ninth round knockout victory against Brandon Rios on Nov. 7 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, per BoxRec, is firm that he will not be facing Vargas again, Boxing Scene reported.

"There is a certain line that is there for a reason. We are professionals. You have a manager and I have a manager. You have a manager for a reason. But guess what? Nobody wants to see that fight! I won 11 rounds you won one," Bradley said.

Vargas and Bradley clashed in June at the StubHub Center in Carson, California, where Bradley served Vargas his first loss. Bradley dominated the battle but was hurt during the last seconds of the final round, Fight News noted. However, the referee stopped the clock with six to seven seconds still left on the time, giving Vargas the impression he won. Bradley was proclaimed the victor via a unanimous decision and Vargas reportedly wanted a rematch since that time.

The 26-year-old told ES News that Bradley should give him a rematch because he already confirmed on it previously.

"He gave his word and look at him. He can't say 'Oh, I'll give you the rematch' now, cause he knows what would happen. I'd knock him out. I knock him out in a rematch. I'd finish what I started and he knows it. It's why he stays quiet," Vargas said.

Bradley-Brook showdown?

Meanwhile, Arum, Bradley's promoter, clarified that their camp is not having negotiations with the British boxer Brook for a fight, contrary to what various reports say, per another Boxing Scene article.

Arum shared that it was only the first time he learned of the news when asked by the reporter. He even frankly said that he would not even be interested with a Bradley vs. Brook battle as "there's no money in it," especially "nobody knows who Kell Brook is."

Instead of fighting Vargas and Brook, the promoter is looking into bigger fights for his boxer. He is planning to stage a match with either the World Boxing Council champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez or the eight-division world boxing champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao. Right now, they're still waiting if Pacquiao will pick Bradley for his farewell bout.
