Kanye West Concert Tickets and Yeezus Tour: Will 'Bound 2' Rapper's New 2014 Album Feature French Montana, Q-Tip and Tyga?
Not surprisingly, Kanye West is making news this week, and no, for once none of the news is about West's fiancée, Kim Kardashian. The update, however, does involve both some good news and some bad news.
First, the bad news. West was scheduled to continue his Yeezus tour in Australia next month. Today, however, Live Nation announced that he is postponing the tour dates.
"The tour dates originally scheduled from May 2 to May 11, 2014 will now be played from September 5 to September 15, 2014," Live Nation said in a statement. "All tickets for the initially scheduled shows will be honoured for the new dates."
Now for the good news. West reportedly made the date changes in order to work on a brand new album.
"Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia," Live Nation said.
The upcoming album, which remains unnamed, will be West's seventh solo studio album (which doesn't include his collaboration album with Jay-Z, Watch the Throne). In November, West told Sirius XM's Ear Candy Mornings show that the album would drop this summer. That same month, Q-Tip said he was producing the album, and in December, West said the album would have "just eight songs" in an interview at Art Basel in Miami, according to Noisey.
"We're supposed to be working on a couple of songs together for his album," rapper French Montana told Rolling Stone in January. "He got a special project coming out."
West is also suspected to be collaborating with Tyga and Malik Yusef on the album.
The Bound 2 rapper will still appear at UK and European festivals this summer and will do a tour in the areas in January of next year.
