'Bones' Season 11 Midseason Finale Spoilers: Brennan and Booth Go Undercover to Solve Old Western Case [Video]
After a brief hiatus, the CBS comedy-drama series is scheduled to return on Dec. 10 with an exciting two-part fall finale, in which Brennan (Deschanel) and Booth (Boreanaz) go undercover to find a killer cowboy.
The fun kicks off at 8 p.m. with an episode entitled "The Cowboy in the Contest" where Brennan and Booth will dress up as their Old Western characters Buck and Wanda.
According to AceShowBiz.com, the synopsis reads as follows:
"To solve a murder, Brennan and Booth go undercover at an Old West-style shooting competition, while Angela and Hodgins discuss the future of their family and Cam gets close with photographer Sebastian Kohl (guest star Gil Darnell)."
The midseason finale will then conclude with another episode, which is titled "The Doom in the Boom," where the Jeffersonian team will go on the hunt to find a cop killer.
"The team investigates the murder of a police officer that sends shockwaves through both the Jeffersonian and FBI teams. Behavioral analyst Leslie Green (guest star Sara Rue) is assigned to work with Booth on the investigation and lends her professional assessments on who the cop killer could be, while Cam must make some decisions in her personal life and the entire team re-evaluates what is truly important to them," states the synopsis, according to AceShowBiz.com.
Although there is a lot to look forward to in long-running comedy series, it doesn't appear like things are going very well behind the scenes.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actors claim in the suit that they are owed "tens of millions of dollars" in profits by producer 20th Century Fox Television, the Fox network and affiliated companies. Executive producers Kathy Reichs and Barry Josephson have also filed similar suits.
In the suits, the plaintiffs argue that they were neglected pay for years, despite the success of the show. Now they are demanding over $100 million for their work. The actors also claim they're contractually entitled to 3 percent of the series' profits, while Reichs says she is owed 5 percent.
An inside source told TVLine that it's unclear if the suit will hurt the show's potential to air for a 12th season. TVLine also notes that the series is currently missing from the network's 2016 schedule.
The Season 11 fall finale, "The Cowboy in the Contest" and "The Doom in the Boom," will air on Thursday, Dec. 10, starting at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
