Toronto Raptors vs Atlanta Hawks: Live Stream & TV Schedule
The Toronto Raptors are looking for their 12th win of the season when they visit the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night at Philips Arena. It is the first of four meetings between the two teams this season.
Toronto's four-game winning streak was snapped by the Phoenix Suns last Sunday in front of their home crowd at the Air Canada Centre. DeMar DeRozan registered his fourth straight game of scoring 20 or more points with a 29-point performance with three rebounds and seven assists in the 107-102 loss.
"We have to stop putting ourselves in a tough predicament by having to fight our way out, when we don't have much time to. We find ourselves in that position a little too much. Once we clean up the little things at both ends, it will be easier for us to close out games," DeRozan said after the game.
DeMarre Carroll added 20 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two steals while Kyle Lowry scored 17 points while shooting 35 percent from the field. Bismack Biyombo will continue to start at center in place of the injured Jonas Valanciunas, who is rehabbing a broken left hand.
The Hawks are trying to gain momentum after defeating the powerhouse Oklahoma City Thunder at home last Monday 106-100. Paul Millsap led the charge as he scored 26 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out five assists with a steal and four blocks.
"We're learning that when a team is making a run, not to get rattled. I felt like we kept our composure really well. Westbrook got hot, and when a guy like that gets hot, he's tough to stop. But we stayed cool, finally got some stops and scored the basketball when we needed to," Millsap said after the game.
Jeff Teague added 25 points and five assists and closed the game for Atlanta, scoring 10 points in the final quarter to put the Thunder away. The Hawks are currently 7-3 at home, where the team is much successful shooting the ball rather than on the road. They have won three in a row at home while dropping five of its last six road games.
The Raptors swept all four games against the Hawks last season with an average winning margin of 15.5. DeRozan plays particularly well against Atlanta, averaging 25.6 points on 52.2 percent shooting in the past nine matchups.
Tip-off starts at 8:00 p.m. ET and you can watch it live on NBA League Pass nationally and on TSN in Canada. It will also be broadcasted locally on FOX Sports Southeast.
