Daniel Craig has played James Bond since October 2005 and has been speculated to be done with playing 007 as his final appearance will be on the recently released "Spectre." However, one of the producers wants Craig back to play the iconic MI6 agent in its sequel.

Barbara Broccoli told 20 Minuten that she plans on moving the "James Bond" franchise forward and is already hoping that the 47-year-old English actor will return. "Now everyone is asking, 'How will it go for 007? I hope it continues with Craig. I think he's great, and obviously not just me, but also the audience. I will do everything to make sure that he stays," Broccoli said as translated by TV3.

"We have spent three years working on the film. It was exciting, but now we want to enjoy the success and the reactions of the audience. In the spring, let's start again," she added.

According to Cinema Blend, Broccoli produced every "James Bond" film since Pierce Brosnan was cast in 1995 for "GoldenEye." She was as an associate producer for two other Bond movies in the 1980s and was an assistant director for two of seven Roger Moore-starring films.

Barbara is the daughter of Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli, producer of many "James Bond" films including "Dr. No," "From Russia with Love," "Goldfinger," "You Only Live Twice," "Thunderball" and "Diamonds are Forever."

The workload of a producer for a "James Bond" film requires a lot of work due to a number of action sequences, large casts and the need to find unique locations around the world that has not been used in any of the previous instalments of the franchise.

In an interview with Esquire, Craig was asked if he was signed for another movie after "Spectre" or if he's interested in doing another 007 film. "I don't know. I really don't know. Honestly. I'm not trying to be coy. At the moment, I can't even conceive it," Craig answered.

"At this moment, no. I have a life and I've got to get on with it a bit. But we'll see," he added. So far, "Spectre" has been a huge success, grossing $750 million dollars to surpass Craig's first two films as Bond in "Casino Royale" and "Quantum of Solace."

The latest Bond film is currently the eighth all-time highest-grossing film of the franchise. "Skyfall" is still at number one while "Thunderball" and "Goldfinger are at the second and third place respectively, per The Belfast Telegraph.
