Romeo Santos and Aventura Reuniting in 2016 One Last Time
Aventura, the Dominican-American bachata group that launched the career of Romeo Santos and included Henry Santos, Lenny Santos and Max Santos, will be reuniting in February 2016 for a few shows in New York.
Rumors of the reunion began when publicist Nanette Lamboy shared a photo on Instagram, later reposted by Aventura's Henry Santos, that announced an exclusive performance, at the United Palace Theater, by the group in February 2016.
"The exclusive New York residency, only in February," said the announcement flyer.
According to Billboard, Romeo Santos' manager, Johnny Marines, confirmed that there is a reunion planned for 2016 and that the reunion will include several shows. However, a spokesperson explained that this will be the last reunion for the beloved music group.
Romeo Santos posted the announcement on his Instagram and Twitter accounts on Dec. 1 with a video that featured a song by the group and the same flyer posted by his fellow group mate.
The last time that the Bronx-based group performed together was in 2014 when they got together for a surprise performance at Santos' sold out Yankee Stadium show in the Bronx.
Aventura's 18 year career began in 1993 when the band was formed, by cousins Romeo and Henry and brothers Max and Lenny, but they didn't get their big break until 1999 and followed with the release of their debut album "Generation Next."

The album's biggest song, "Obsession," was successful all over the United States and Latin America but also hit the top charts in various European country's proving the group's ability to be successful overseas and with non-Spanish speaking audiences.
The group released five studio albums, "The Last" being their final album and the highest selling album of 2009. Their albums spawned hits like "Ella y Yo," "Dile al Amor," "El Malo" and "Su Veneno."
According to Aceshowbiz, Aventura has been nominated and won countless of Billboard Music Awards and Premios Lo Nuestro Awards, won an American Music Award for Favorite Latin Artist in 2009, four Premios Juventud awards, two Premios MTV awards and was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2007.
