'By the Sea' Stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie List New Orleans Home for $5.65M
"By the Sea" stars Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie list their New Orleans home for a lower price.
Pitt and Jolie, Hollywood's power couple, are only asking $5.65 million for their Big Easy home, Zillow reported. It was previously priced at $6.5 million, which means that the pair cut a whopping $850,000 from its price tag. The famous husband and wife did not say why they lowered the selling price.
Us Weekly noted in May that although Brangelina are unloading the New Orleans home, they will still be in the area.
Its listing on Zillow describes Pitt and Jolie's home as a "magnificently renovated historic 1830s masonry mansion in Prime French Quarter location." The Louisiana city dwelling place covers 7,645 square feet of living space and displays five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
The French Quarter estate highlight other living areas like a private spacious patio with a swimming pool, a modern kitchen with high-end appliances and a laundry room. Apart from the main house, there is also a two-storey guest house that has one bedroom, one full bathroom and a half bath.
Although no images of the interiors are available, the listing's descriptions depict an elegant house. Notable details include an elevator, some "Venetian plastered walls, custom designed marble mantels [and] fireplaces, crown moldings," and a dramatic spiral staircase.
The next owners can fit two vehicles in the provided parking space.
Going strong as a couple
It has been a decade since the 51-year-old actor and the 40-year-old actress met in the set of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" in 2005. Yet, the two have built a beautiful home and loving family. Now, they have six children, three are biological (Shiloh, 9, Knox and Vivienne, 7) and three are adopted (Maddox, 14, Pax, 11 and Zahara, 10), per The Telegraph.
The "12 Years a Slave" producer shared on the site how marrying Jolie changed his life and even made him a better actor.
"I see an absolute shift from the day I started my family. And I think it's because family -- and certainly kids and a stable relationship -- is something bigger than yourself. They need you to sit down with them, be there for them when they wake up in the middle of the night," Pitt said.
The "World War Z" actor revealed that being a family man made him less stressed and more focused on doing something he believes in and makes his children proud of him.
"I really can't wait to get home. More than at any time in my life, I've got purpose -- real purpose. It feels like I've found my place," said Pitt.
