The Kobe Bryant farewell tour continues when the Los Angeles Lakers look for their first back-to-back win in nine months when they visit the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. It will be Bryant's last game in Phillips Arena and the Hawks. Zoo Atlanta announced on Thursday that they will rename a black mamba snake "Kobe," per ESPN.

The Hawks organization will also make a financial donation to Zoo Atlanta in honor of the Lakers legend. "Kobe Bryant's career accomplishments speak for themselves. He has set a standard with his incredible work ethic, tremendous will and competitive spirit," CEO Steve Koonin said.

The Lakers defeated the Washington Wizards on Wednesday, 108-104, in Kobe's last game at the nation's capital. Bryant had vintage performance, scoring 31 points including two clutch shots in the final minute of the game to seal the win. He made a 3-point shot with 58.9 seconds left to give the Lakers a two-point lead.

Marcin Gortat scored on the other end to tie the game but Bryant hit a classic pull-up jumper over Bradley Beal to give the Lakers a 103-101 lead with 30.8 seconds remaining. "I thought everybody hated me. It's really cool, man," Kobe said after the game.

"We are all just having fun and going out there and trying to play with the right energy. It seems like it has pumped some life into us," he added. Jordan Clarkson finished with 18 points and three assists while Julius Randle had 15 points and 19 rebounds to back up Bryant's effort.

Atlanta, on the other hand, have different plans and are looking to bounce back after losing to the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday, 96-86 after blowing a 17-point, third-quarter lead. Paul Millsap scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Al Horford had 12 points, nine rebounds and two blocks.

"It's just unacceptable on our part. We just relaxed in the second half as a team, especially in the fourth quarter. It's just disappointing," Horford said after the game. The Hawks are now 12-9 on the season and the loss dropped them to the eighth spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Last season's Hawks team had the best record in the East but they were not consistent this season, losing three-straight games last November while alternating wins and loses the past eight games since Nov. 7. When the Lakers visited Atlanta last season, Bryant had 28 points in the 114-109 win.
