WhatsApp Update 2.12.372 has been released for Android and is set to contain all the emoji expressions available for download. Lately, WhatsApp has been involved in a series of updates that all went down to the addition of new emojis.

The Peek and Pop feature is also one of the first updates that was included in the new WhatsApp update. According to the NeuroGadget, the WhatsApp 2.12.372 is currently on its beta form and is released for testing. Its global release will follow soon. The latest update on the emojis has apparently adapted the already released version on iOS.

The emojis have immensely been updated with some new characters being included on the list. The previous addition of unicorn, spider and turkey emojis is made more fun as the new WhatsApp update now includes facial expressions such as extreme sadness, reversed smiles and more. The emojis are not limited to such subtle signs as the recent WhatsApp update 2.12.372 also included sports activities mainly ice skating, weightlifting, volleyball and some new characters about cars and different medals.

Flags and hearts, on the other hand, have been removed from the people symbol and have received their own tab. Microphones, funeral urns and coffins have also been included. It may possess a funny and creepy thought, but emojis like these clearly express what people can't directly say.

Meanwhile, the frequent update from WhatsApp has also been the target of malware when an imposing message that supposed to deliver a new update for the service turned out to be a virus. In a statement released by the Association of Banks in Singapore, featured on the NeuroGadget, they said that some 50 WhatsApp users suffered from the malware and became a victim of unwanted purchases online. The said incident caused some users to lose around $200, some even lost thousands of dollars in just three months.

The malware apparently sends messages of the update, where it threatens the user by way of losing their WhatsApp account if they do not upgrade to the latest version. Once the user upgrades, the malware will retrieve the one-time password given by local banks for the users online purchases and the illegal transactions will root from there. Users are advised to be more careful with what they download and to make sure they get the right source. It is important to visit the official website of the said app.
