Bruce Campbell Shares ‘Leaked’ Script of ‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ Crossover With ‘The Walking Dead’
Bruce Campbell recently shared a fake script to a special crossover between his own show "Ash vs Evil Dead" and AMC's hit zombie thriller "The Walking Dead."
A picture of the script, which the actor shared on Twitter, shows only a few paragraphs, but the special little gem has fans of the zombie genre excited on social media.
Geeks of Doom were the first to report on this special post by Campbell. They were quick to point out that the post is a fictional announcement and appears to be Campbell's idea of a practical joke.
The script page in the picture is titled "Ash vs Walking Dead" and featured only the main characters of both shows, Ash Williams (Campbell) and Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). It appears Ash would be the hero of the series given his extensive history with the zombie hordes.
For those who are familiar with both shows and characters, the contents of the script should come as no surprise.
The script fictionally takes place in the "TWD" universe on the day that Grimes woke up from his coma. According to the script, Ash is in the room with him when Grimes wakes up.
In a panic, Grimes asks, "What the hell is going on?"
In true fashion for the "Evil Dead" star character, Ash comically replies, with all of his trademark ego intact, "Zombie apocalypse. You might as well go back to sleep, I took care of it."
The script page abruptly ends there, reading, "The End."
Campbell is well known for his slapstick style of comedy, even sometimes adopting some of his star character's personalities in his everyday life and in interviews. This was just another example of how incredibly funny and entertaining Campbell can be with only a few words.
