After a long wait, fans of the hit police drama "Blue Bloods" will finally get a new episode in before the mid-season hiatus and there is going to be plenty going down.

Episode 10, titled "Flags of Our Fathers," will finally be returning to broadcast network CBS after a long hiatus this Friday, Dec. 11 at 10 p.m. EST, according to TV Guide.

There are already many different shades of blue within the NYPD, but when Danny gets pulled in and questioned about an ex-partner, the lines are going to get blurred.

According to Spoilers Guide, Danny had a partner before that might have a little too shady of a past. He is put through the ringer about a case the guy worked and he is now suspected of planting evidence.

Danny tries to remain true to his ex-partner, but evidence against him starts to add up and if they sent the wrong man to prison for a crime he did not commit, Danny may have to reconsider his allegiances.

The old partner is not accused of being dirty, but rather lazy. It is the claim of the D.A. that he planted evidence in a homicide investigation in order to wrap the case up more quickly. But as most people know, that is a life sentence for those on the receiving end and a grave miscarriage of justice.

The episode will also put Frank back in the hot seat again as he faces a national spotlight in regards to the planned demonstration from a radical anti-government group.

He has to choose whether to squash the rally or let them do what they want to do, which is burn the American flag. He is in a tight spot and no matter what he decides, he is going to get burnt in the eyes of the American public.

Fans can watch a preview for the next episode below before the show goes on its seasonal hiatus.
