Ayesha Curry, the wife of NBA Golden State player Stephen Curry, is in the middle of a social media backlash after airing out on Twitter her fashion preferences such as choosing to cover some parts of her body instead of wearing trendy outfits.

The 26-year-old NBA star wife was very reflective last Saturday night when she posted on Twitter a series of messages about the fashion statements these days, where women wore skimpy outfits like crop tops and the likes.

In one post, Ayesha wrote, "Everyone's into barely wearing clothes these days huh? Not my style," she wrote on Twitter. "I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who matters."

Meanwhile, while voicing out her opinions being a two-time mother, she also posted another message on Twitter saying, "Just looking at the latest fashion trends," she wrote adding, "I'll take classy over trendy any day of the week. #saturdaynightinsight."

In just a matter of minutes, Ayesha received several backlash on social media, turning her Saturday night insight into talks about slut-shaming and other feminist issues, E! News reports.

However, the public had a mixture of opinions. Some people were in agreement towards Ayesha's way of explaining her opinions while some were against how she wrote her fashion preferences.

Hollywood Life further reported that Ayesha was apparently just voicing out her opinions while reading fashion magazines and was shocked at the numerous reactions. In fact, she even got "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star Khloe Kardashian reacting, although it was in agreement to her posts. "I just love @ayeshacurry!!! Always staying true to you. My kind of lady. Blessings on blessings!!!" Kardashian wrote on Twitter.

After a series of notifications on social media, Ayesha probably thought to finally put an end to the growing Twitter war and posted another message, asking to stop degrading women, per E! News.

"Regardless of if you like my 'style of clothes' or not (which I don't care) please do not tear women down and degrade them... Not cool peeps," Ayesha wrote on Twitter.

Ayesha and Stephen are married with two children, Ryan and Riley.
