As it usually is on the "Dancing with the Stars" off season, the big news is always the upcoming celebrity roster that will hit the floor next. The DWTS group often has something for everyone with actors, musicians, athletes and even heroes. The first name to drop for the DWTS Season 22 cast is quite an unexpected one: New York Giants running back Rashad Jennings.

In an interview with TMZ, the football star admitted that he could be making the jump from the field to the dance floor in the next season of the hit reality competition.

"Yes, we've had conversations," Jennings told TMZ, confirming his ongoing talks with the show's producers. "We're gonna hold off a couple more days."

The sporting community is always represented in the competition. Last season, it was champion jockey and Triple Crown winner Victor Espinoza who faced an early exit with partner Karina Smirnoff.

Joining Jennings for Season 22 is a Dancing with the Stars favorite who took a break from the last season's festivities: Len Goodman. The veteran judge, who exited to spend time with family and to honor commitments to U.K.'s "Strictly Come Dancing", will be back in the judges' table for the upcoming season.

According to a previous report from Latin Post, Goodman confirmed the news on his Twitter account saying, "Back on DWTS season 22. So nice people are welcoming me back. Be careful what you wish for."

And as one DWTS staple returns to his seat, another is mulling over the possibility of leaving the family. Last season's winner Derek Hough breezed through the competition with celebrity partner Bindi Irwin, but it seems the pro might not be fighting for the next Mirror Ball trophy. After 16 seasons and six Mirror Ball trophies to his name, Hough might be ready to call it a day for his DWTS career.

When asked by E! News if he's returning to defend his title in Season 22, then 30-year-old pro dancer admitted he wasn't sure saying, "I don't know, who knows?"

Hough added, "I have to say this isn't a bad way to go out."

Fellow pro Sharna Burgess, who landed second place with boy band partner Nick Carter, is also unsure whether she's returning for the upcoming season.

It looks like there are going to be some changes in the DWTS family. Are you on board with the show's possible mix-ups?

"Dancing with the Stars" Season 22 will premiere on March 22, 2016.
